Get Jake Better
Jake was hit by a car on the evening of the 24th of September and had to be rushed to the vet to save his life.
His injuries included two fractures in his pelvis , one fracture in his left ankle, multiple cases of road rash, deep bruising, and wounds all over his lower body. Surgery was performed to fix all of the issues.
I am in a transition period in my life. I separated from the U.S. Navy in late August of this year after six years of service. I have had a hard time finding employment because of my military to civilian transition but also because COVID has shrunk the amount of jobs available and complicated obtaining the ones that still exist.
Jake’s vet bills are unfortunately very expensive and have amounted to $10,000. I am doing everything I can to pay this amount down but need some extra help until I find stable employment.
Any amount helps and I promised to pay the kindness back into the world when I am back on my feet financially. 2020 has been a lesson of kindness and empathy for almost every person this year and I have already been blown away from the response of my friends, family, and complete strangers who care about Jake.
Jake is my very best friend and I’m so happy he is still alive and on the road to a normal recovery.
Thank you for all your support!!! ❤️❤️❤️
