Help homeless guy live in a tipi

Donation protected
Oki! My name is Marty and I’m Blackfoot.

For the last seven years I was happily housed, until my landlord decided to get a divorce and sell the house.

So, with less than a week’s notice I was told to vacate, with nowhere to go or no money to do so.

I have been very lucky to be able to sleep in my car much of the last twenty days. I reached out for help and got enough to rent a storage locker and uhaul.

Thus far, that is the extent of my shelter and privacy.

I searched for housing for seven months for myself before I landed my last place. I live in a very racist city and province, and oftentimes landlords do not wish to rent to natives. This leaves me in a bind, as I’d rather not search for seven months to just be evicted again.

So, my plan then is to go back on the reserve, and I can set up a tipi and live in there.

a tipi itself new is around $3500, and various other camp gear would be essential too. I’d like to get a generator and lighting as well as rechargeable batteries and cameras. A cast iron pot bellied stove for the deepest wish desires.

With the cameras I can film content about what it’s like to live in a tipi, and share that with whatever interested online audience would pay attention.

l’m not very smart, and not skilled in ways that bring me money. I’m actually kind of stupid and need a lot of help.

if you’d like to help a homeless guy get housed, he’d be your number one fan.

love,
marty
