Hereford College of Arts Degree level students across four courses have created a short film, for the competition Straight 8 Shootout. The first time anyone sees the developed roll of film will be at cinema les arcades in Cannes on June 26th and then in London on June 30th. We want to send some of our students to the premieres, so they can represent their film and meet other entrants who include leading content agencies and directors.

The film was co-written by the students and shot at Eastnor Castle in their hedge Maze on a single roll of Super8 film. Because it was shot fully analogue, there were no reshoots, or second takes! The students from Performing Arts, Digital Content Creation, Photography and Popular Music all rose spectacularly to the creative and technical challenge.

Funds raised will contribute towards travel and accommodation costs for a handful of students attending the premiere.
