This has been an amazing and humbling experience. Within a few weeks I had the support I needed and I just want to thank each and every one of you from all areas's of my life, and some I don't know at all!

A big thank you also to Nina who organised it all.

The E-Trike is ordered, and I'll post some pictures when it arrives in late August.

Wow. Thank you all so much for everyone's kind words and generosity. We never thought we would get this far and all of your support has meant that Hala can pay for the wheelchair almost in full. We won't be getting out a loan at all to help pay for this now.

WE'VE ORDERED THE WHEELCHAIR!! Hala has paid the deposit and although it will be a bit of a wait, it's in process and many adventures will soon be had.

In just 24 hours, we've raised £3000! We can't believe it and are so overwhelmed with the amazing response. The plan was always to get a bit of money together to pay for the Mountain Trike which costs £7000. The rest, we were planning to get a loan for. I've decided to raise the target to £7000 to see how far we can get. If Hala doesn't have to get a loan, that would be a huge weight off. Please keep sharing and let's see if we can go all the way and pay for the Mountain Trike in full.

A note from me - Nina.

As some of you may or may not know, my wonderful mum Hala was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 2007. For many years her life and adventuring of the great outdoors continued as normal, but in the last five years, her mobility has deteriorated to the point that she now needs a wheelchair or electric scooter to get around.

If you know Hala, you'll know she's always been a huge adventurer and a lover of the great outdoors. With her now being bound to a wheelchair, exploring the world as she wants to has become extremely difficult.

Luckily we have found a solution, but unfortunately, it is an extremely expensive one - just over £7000 - It's called a Mountain Trike and is essentially an adapted mountain bike with a motor. This new piece of kit will get her back to the forests, beaches and mountains that have been calling her name for the past five years.

If you can spare anything at all, we would be eternally grateful.
