Dear friends,
Today, we received the necessary documentation to begin the repatriation process. There are still a few steps to finalize with local funeral directors and the Greek embassy before Georgios can start his journey home. We expect these to be completed by the end of this week or early next week.

UPDATE 18/11/24:
The Manginas family and friends around the world are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and generosity you’ve shown. Thanks to your incredible support, we have far surpassed our expectations and can now bring Georgios home.
Georgios’ brother, Ioannis—the beneficiary of this fundraiser—has given us his blessing and full trust in managing the funds and allocating them as needed on the family's behalf.
As part of the formalities of this process, we need to state that all expenses listed below will be covered through the dedicated bank account associated with this fund (which is under Asaf's name).
We are currently working to obtain the necessary documentation and are coordinating with the embassy, as well as both local and Greek funeral directors. While the repatriation process is very lengthy, we anticipate progress will begin on Thursday.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend, Georgios.
At this difficult time, we’re coming together to honour his memory and support his family.
Our key goal is to cover the costly process of bringing Georgios back home to Greece, to rest and ensure he receives the farewell he deserves.
Any extra funds raised will go towards:
- Funeral services and ceremony costs
- Final affairs and family support: assisting his family with the unexpected financial costs
- Memorial costs: covering the expense of a headstone and grave marker
- London memorial: should family and friends decide, a memorial bench or tree to celebrate his London chapter
