Hello, we are GB Women's Open, a passionate and dedicated tag-rugby team. We have been training for 3 years to get us ready for the Tag-Rugby World Cup being held in Limerick, Ireland from the 1st - 5th of August 2023.

The World Cup is an international stage where we will face the likes of Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland and several other countries in pursuit to be named the world champions.

Building on our triple victories against Ireland Women Open in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 British and Irish Cup, and taking the overall win in the International Tag Series in 2022 where we faced Women in the Open, 30s and over 35s categories, we are ready for the big test.

However, we need your help to get us there.

We have individually covered the costs for training facilities, kit and transport to date. Your support will help us cover transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses, ensuring that we can attend the World Cup.

We have broken down the costs below per person:

£90 - tournament entry fees

£200 - return flights to Ireland

£100 - food during the tournament

£35 - world cup kit

£330 - world cup accommodation

Women in Tag - History

Since introducing a Womens team in 2018, Women in tag rugby have delivered on performance, bringing back a bronze in the 2018 World Cup held in Australia. Since then, the game has developed and the categories now support 3 high-performance womens teams; Womens Opens, Womens 30s and Womens 35s. Womens Open stand out because of the unbeaten success they have had in the last 3 years' tournaments.
