Update to original story:

Hi extended fam!

I just wanted to give you an update on the "Get Gary On The Road" GoFundMe project.

After getting the initial estimate of $2100 for the A/C repair, I discussed it with Ivan, David and Jennie,  all of whom suggested I get a
second estimate, since that one seemed high.   I took the car for a second estimate to a mechanic I have used before in an adjacent town from us.   His estimate came in at just over $1030, more than a thousand less than the first guy.  My thanks to those who pushed me to get a second  opinion!

I also found a better deal on tires at just over $500, almost $100 less than the original estimate.

Consequently, I have changed the GoFundMe goal from $2800 to $1600.   So at the current donation level of $1250, we're almost there!

Greetings all!   Let's all pitch together to get Gary's air conditioning fixed and a new set of tires on his Toyota Highlander.

I have obtained an estimate for the A/C and it comes in at $2100.  A set of tires will be approximately $600.  We have set the goal for this fundraiser to $2800.    If the goal is exceeded, there are some minor things that could be done as well.

Gary and Dylan are coming to Texas to pick up the Highlander on May 12.   We hope to get this all ready for him by then.

We all love our (brother, father, uncle, friend) Gary so let's do him a good deed!
