Get Gabrielle to Cornell!

I'm Gabrielle!! Some of y'all know me through my work with Hyperreal Film Club, my undergrad studies at UT, or just from out and about town, but many of y'all know me through my years of working in the food/coffee industry in Austin. Right now I work as the head roaster and FOH manager at the locally owned gem Mercado Sin Nombre~

A few weeks ago, I was offered admittance into the Industrial and Labor Relations school at Cornell University to pursue a Master of Science (MS) program with a concentration on Labor Research and Policy, beginning in the fall of 2025. If you know me, you know that it's been my goal to work in support of labor rights and collective organizing, which my studies at Cornell will perfectly set me up to do. I've been working toward my higher education goals for a couple of years now, and feel a few steps closer to achieving them.

With this opportunity, I need to relocated myself and my pets to Ithaca, NY in early August (which is expensive, and stressful). On top of that, there is a required $750 admission fee to accept my offer and secure my placement in the program, which needs to be paid by April 15.

The first $750 raised through this fundraiser will be used to pay the initial admission fee for Cornell's ILR School, with all remaining donations going toward the cross-country moving expenses. Any donation amount is deeply appreciated and will be invested in starting this new phase of life!
