Get Ellie Back on Her Feet!

Hi friends!
 
As many of you know, Ellie recently underwent major surgery on her right ankle following a bike accident which took place a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully the surgery was a success and she is home recovering now!
 
Unfortunately, at the time of the accident she had just transitioned to a new job after being let go due to Covid-19, meaning she had not yet had a chance to set up new health insurance. Subsequently, it’s looking like her significant medical bills for the surgery and PT will not be covered, leaving her with an astronomical bill she has no means of paying at this time. The doctors don’t know the full extent of what recovery will look like yet, but it will be at least 6 weeks in a hefty splint before she can even put weight on her foot, meaning that continuing work in the service industry is out of the question.
 
I know many of us have been on the receiving end of Ellie’s sweet spirit and generosity and many have already reached out asking how they can help, so I thought this platform would be a good way to support Ellie and relieve some of the financial burden while she is unable to work.
 
She is still in the process of trying to get financial aid and get the final hospital bills, but it’s looking like she will quite likely need at least $10,000 to begin to cover the cost.
 
I know many of you are also facing unemployment and have your own financial struggles at this time- if you are unable to give, please continue to keep Ellie in your thoughts and prayers as she takes this journey day by day.
