If you haven't heard, our friends Eli & Maria's apartment was burned down in a gas explosion in NW Portland on October 19th.
Their building was the only one in the area that burned to the ground, leaving them with nothing. While Eli is currently out of the country, Maria was home during the explosion, and narrowly escaped the fire.
We're organizing this to help Eli & Maria get back on their feet, as they lost all of their personal belongings. Phones, ID, computers, shoes, clothes, contacts/glasses, medications, sentimental items, photos, everything is gone. And they are without a place to call home.
We are confident in the support network of Portland, and optimistic that they will be back on their feet soon. Let’s help speed up that process.
