Get Dean to Race of Champions

Hello there! My name is Josh Barnard, father of Dean. Dean is a 10 year old Intermediate rider- he has taken on BMX racing this year in place of soccer, and he has been working like crazy at it. Dean raced his state qualifying races and won all 5 of them, then proceeded to win his class at the State Finals- along with snagging a state #3 State Plate for overall points in 10 Novice/Intermediate standings for N. CA.

We have raced all up and down California, and to be honest, I did not expect him to get to this point as fast as he has. He has big goals and aspirations when it comes to his racing, and I'm here to do all that I can to help get him there. Race of Champions is an invitational race at the Grands in Tulsa,OK each year. Its a big deal, and only select riders from each state get to race it. Dean has made that cut, and since I'm not made out of money, here I am! After deliberations with friends, I have decided to take to Gofundme and see if we can make this happen for him!

As for funds and allocation- The main goal right now is to get to Tusla for 5 days of racing in November. To have a place to sleep and a vehicle to get us back and forth while we are there. Shooting high for $3000 (it doesnt help that the event is Thanksgiving week, so everything is extra) Any excess money raised, will go towards racing nationals next season, which Dean has already set his sights on. In the event we have to drop out of racing forever- money will be donated to our local track to help with improvements. I will also be documenting all of it on social media, and will be starting up a page just for our BMX ventures for anyone to follow along.

I love the sport of BMX, my goal with my son is to bring as many eyes to the sport as possible There are no age limits to participate, we have 1.5 year olds on up to 75 year olds and that is quite a special thing, if you ask me.
