Get Daughter of the Wild BACK into a Storefront

Hi there y'all,
My name is Nikkye Re'Anne Vargas, and I run a small business called Daughter of the Wild. I started in 2013 at the local San Marcos farmers market, selling my handmade creations, including stone/bone/crystal jewelry and succulent arrangments. After a few years of doing soley pop-ups I transitioned to my first brick-and-mortar space that stayed open until March 2020 when the pandemic hit. At my storefront I was able to have a space for my handmade goods as well as space to expand my inventory that included vintage clothing, home decor, high-quality paper products, paintings, accesories, plant supplies, floral design and more. Shortly after the shutdown, my shop space was sold out from underneath me and has left Daughter of the Wild floating in limbo land for over two years. I started doing mini pop ups again in 2021 and have been faced with the extreme nature that is central Texas weather. In a matter of months I have gone from setting up in below freezing temperatures to battling 100+ degree days. It has been exhausting & is unsustainable. After unsuccessfully attempting to get into a new brick and mortar space for the first half of 2022 I have now come to the humble position of asking my community for help. I want to be able to create a space that is safe, welcoming, relaxing and immersive in a very unique to San Marcos way. If you had ever visited my store before the closure, you will know that it was an experience just walking in the door. The ability for plants, stones, the right music, and unusual treasures to co-create a space that is truly memorable is something that I am very good at curating and I miss it on a daily. There is a new space that I would absolutely love to get a lease on but I can't make these moves without your support! Imagine a storefront on the square that you could walk into that pays homage to our late & great PaperBear while bringing in houseplants, plant supplies, and more goodies!!! A true dream. Lets make this happen y'all! To a bigger and better future for Daughter of the Wild & San Marcos, Tx 78666.
Thanks for supporting local, small, women owned business & As Always Y'all, Stay Wild <3
