Get Dante to Nevada

Donation protected
This is an urgent plea with a deadly deadline for a very worthy pup. Dante is set to be killed on Monday January 22, unless we can raise $2000 for his training at Working Dogs of Nevada. Dante is a 1.5 year old, 60 lb. short stack cattle dog/catahoula mix. A true lover at heart, he was turned in to the East Valley Animal Shelter after a bite incident revolving around food (details unknown). Initially he was reactive with the leash and very cautious, but with volunteer work, he grew in confidence, trust and became a super affectionate dog. He's had kennel mates and participated in playgroups and also was tested with sheep (he preferred to play with the other border collie!) Time in the shelter has waned his patience and recently when fixing the guillotine door, he reacted to the wrong staff member. He was moved into the back and given a death date. Since, he's been out regularly with volunteers, he's been in playgroup and had an outing, all without incident because Dante is just a sweet boy who's done with shelter life. The Heigl Foundation has agreed to split the cost of his stay at the Working Dogs of Nevada Program. Here Dante will be placed in a program based on his specific needs. His potential new family will be required to attend classes with Dante so that bonds can be built. Dante will have support for his entire lifetime through Working Dogs of Nevada. This is a huge and generous step for the Heigl Foundation and we need to raise our share before Monday to save this sweet pup. Again, this is an urgent plea with a hard deadline of Monday Jan 22.
