Get Dan on the Land!

Hello! Shhhh! This fundraiser is a surprise!

If you've been sent this you likely know Dan and you know how great he is. We're raising money to help Dan get his own farm business off the ground next year! If you haven't already heard, Dan found around an acre in Crozet to lease for his own market farm! We are so excited for him and we know how challenging it can be to get a small farm business started. We are hoping to raise some significant funds before his birthday (July 9th). Off the top of my head, I know he will be spending serious money on seeds, deer fencing, a vehicle for transporting produce to market, and a cooler to store his goods.

Don't have cash to donate but want to support? Offering physical support is usually more than welcome in the beginning stages of a farm. Tarps, bins (for harvest or storage), website development, business planning, logo design, and more are some ideas for items or services to donate. Please refrain from reaching out to Dan with these offers until his birthday so he doesn't get suspicious!!

I believe the more small farmers we have, the better our future will be. An investment in Dan's success is an investment in the wellbeing of our community, both ecologically and socially.
