Today,I took my son Lennon to the airport for the first leg of his journey to Homer, Alaska: he'll be dancing lead in the Homer Ballet Company's production of The Nutcracker.
Lennon is 20, it's his first paying dance gig ,and I'm so excited for him that I want to join him for one week of his 3 week great Alaskan adventure (and yes, it's OK with him if I do - dang - the three of us left at home would be going up if only it were affordable).
> I am aiming to leave from LAX Dec. 7th and returning Dec. 16th.
>I am hoping to be funded $2,200.00, or as close to that as I am able.
Truly, I can't imagine not going: I'm 70. traded custodial duties at the ballet school for my children to have the opportunity of attending classes there for 8 + years, which of course included being part of their annual production of ...wait for it... The Nutcracker!
I know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity with my son, and I wish to thank you in advance for participating in making this dream come true! Thank you very much!
