Cinthia Landau is a teacher living in Spain. Last week her parents were in a serious car accident in Temecula, California. Both survived, but her mother is facing surgery and a painful recovery, and Cinthia is nine hours and an ocean away from them.

Her sister has been carrying the caregiving load alone. Cinthia wants to be there in September to take care of her mom after surgery and give her sister relief. The only thing standing between her and that flight is the cost of the ticket.

She did not ask for this at first, but then she did accept my help setting up this gofundme for her via DM. She posted asking whether anyone knew someone at an airline who could get her a buddy pass, and said plainly that she was not asking for money. Enough of us offered anyway that she eventually agreed. Set up to her accounts directly. So here it is.

Every dollar goes to a round trip flight from Spain to San Diego, roughly $1,500. If a buddy pass comes through after all, or if we raise more than the ticket costs, the balance goes to Cinthia for her parents’ care and travel expenses on the ground.
