My brother Chris and his guide dog were hit by a reckless driver while leaving work last week. Chris, like a lot of people, has faced his share of adversity. Ups and downs, and amazing victories, only difference is, Chris is totally blind. Chris lives with Lebers Congenital amaurosis, a degenerative disease that has left him blind since birth. My brother is one of the most amazing people I know; He works hard, he is a single dad to two girls, walks miles and miles daily to get to where he needs to go, and he does it with a smile on his face and never asks for help or to be treated differently. This accident has left him unable to work and has left his guide dog unable to guide.  Finnian is my brother’s eyes. He was left severely injured and suffering from trauma from the accident.  Any little bit can help him right now and is so very appreciated. It will help pay bills, medical bills, put food on the table, and help him get to where he needs to go safely, as he cannot utilize his guide.
