My name is Zoey Jowers, and ever since I was a very young girl, I’ve always loved to read. And if you asked me what I’m passionate about, my answer would always be books. When I think of memorable books of my childhood, the ones that stand out are those I could relate to. I want every child to feel the joy of opening a book and seeing a face like theirs smiling back at them. That's why I created Culture Kids, to both ensure that kids were receiving lessons teaching them the importance of acceptance, diversity and seeing themselves reflected in the books that they were reading.
I am raising money to provide Claremont Elementary School students in Ossining, NY books that personally represent each and every one of them. Whether that be their hair type, religion, or gender expression. A lot of time and energy goes into producing a project like this, and I appreciate your support! If you can't support, please share! Thank you for reading :)
