The Barber’s! This family has been a rock in our community, giving and helping, even when it has been their last penny!
Some of you know that recently Cassie had major back surgery, 2 to be exact in the same day as the hardware had to be removed and reinstalled and has now been in the hospital and rehab for more than 30 days. The original hospital stay was supposed to be for only 5-7 days, and they are in dire need of your help with purchasing a machine that will enable her to be able to strengthen and even possibly help her re-learn to walk again. God is great and He has given this family so many friends that would want to help them make sure that their family is provided for during this difficult time.
This is going to be an extremely long journey as Cassie is trying to maintain a successful business as well as having to re-learn daily functions. She founded Maid by Cassie, a successful cleaning business, that employs six other individuals and without her being able to work, their families as well as Cassie’s will not be able to provide for their families. Her family depends almost solely on this business for income as Eddy has poor health conditions himself.
The machine isn’t covered by insurance but has provided a ray of light at the end of a really long tunnel, in giving Cassie much hope for what will become her new normal. The BIONESS machine fires electrical impulses that will enable her to pick up her feet and strengthen the muscles, tendons, and nerves to be able to walk. She will be going home with a hospital bed, wheelchair, and walker, but will not be able to walk with, but only transfer from one area to another and is going to need lots of around the clock care! Her toes are curled and the muscle spasms in her legs are awful. She is having rehab 6 days a week right now and is a very determined woman but has the financial stress as well.
The money will be used to buy the BIONESS machine and help the family maintain basic housing bills and other items to help them get back going. Cassie has posted on her Facebook page videos of the machine helping her walk without much assistance which is a wonderful thing!
Please find it deep in your hearts to say a prayer and lots of invisible hugs to this family. She knows everyone is having a difficult time and sends her prayers and love your way as well.
Let’s get her back to walking and living a somewhat normal life with her family!
