So, here's the deal. Since 2009 I've been taking care of my Grandma, who has dementia. Two years ago my mom had a massive stroke and I began caregiving for her as well (though she can go to the bathroom and bath on her own, she is basically housebound). On top of this, I am disabled, suffering from CFS/fibromyalgia/chronic mono/afib.
The situation with my mother became incredibly toxic, and I'm now unemployeed (though actively searching and applying for work!) and staying with my sister and her family. In an attempt to better my situation I applied to college to begin the dream of becoming a Game Designer -- and was accepted! But the problem is I defaulted on past student loans, due to not having an actual income since I spent the past eight years caretaking without a salary. Until this past loan is settled, I can't recieve FAFSA or other loan help.... which means I can't go to college. Please, even just $1 will help me reach my goal. The program starts May 29th, I would love to be able to begin then. If you all could find it in your hearts to help a person out, you really don't understand how much I would appreciate it.
