Many of you know my incredible best friend, Brittany. In 2020, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes—right at the start of the global pandemic and at the very beginning of her pregnancy with Myles.

Managing a chronic condition while navigating pregnancy, new motherhood, and everyday life is no small task. On top of it all, Brittany has to constantly monitor and regulate her blood sugar—whether she’s caring for her son, out on the hiking trails she loves, or simply going about her day.

An insulin pump would be life-changing for her, helping take a huge mental load off and allowing her to focus more on living, not just managing. Unfortunately, the provincial pump program and her health insurance only cover part of the cost, leaving a gap we can help fill.
