This gofundme account was created for my mother, Sherry Trapp.
On December 3rd, I had to rush her to the ER because she couldn’t stand up and her eyes were rolling in the back of her head. When we got there we found out that her colon had ruptured in several places and she was septic. Novant called in a Doctor and my mom had emergency surgery, removing over 10 inches of intestines. My mother lives alone in her home and has always been very independent, depending solely on her own personal income. She stayed in the hospital for 8 days and then was released, but couldn’t return to work due to her surgery.
On December 29th I received the dreaded call from her once again, that she was in pain and couldn’t eat. I rushed her to the ER again, only to find out that scar tissue had developed in three different places blocking her colon and she had a hernia (which was completely blocking her colon from processing anything.) She had a second surgery on January 3rd, fixing the blockage and hernia (cutting through the scar that had formed from the first surgery.) She is currently recovering and unaware when she will be able to return to work.
My mother wouldn’t ask anyone for anything, but me her daughter loves her more than anything in this whole entire world; and she is the most genuine, sweetest, generous, loving, kind woman that would do anything for anyone (and if you’re reading this and you know her I’m sure you’re agreeing with me.)
She would never ask for help, so I’m asking for her. She hasn’t worked in over a month, has high deductibles and most recently her car broke down.
I appreciate any and everything that is done for my mother. Not just money, but prayers and calls too.
Thank you and God bless you all
