From Elmer:
''Hi! I’m still here. I’ve been flying under the radar for a few months now dealing with some personal issues mainly regarding my health. As most may know, i’ve got End Stage Renal Disease also known as kidney failure and i’ve been back on dialysis since 2012 after my transplanted kidney from my brother started to fail as well... my bout with this condition throughout the years has taken its toll on my body, having kidney failure for such a long duration of time has caused my bones to degenerate and become weak and brittle and in early January of this year i felt a tingling pain on my left hip and paid no mind to it until it became unbearable, and all of a sudden I could not put weight on my left leg, and could not take a single step without the feeling that I’m going to fall. I had it checked and to my dismay i was told that i’ve got a fractured left hip that will require hip replacement surgery. With my current condition, I’m no longer able to walk without support in the form of crutches or a walker.
So with my ongoing dialysis and mobility issues with my fractured hips, things have been very difficult physically, emotionally and mentally as well. The simple tasks that we may take for granted like getting dressed, preparing food and even just walking has now become a very arduous task for me to accomplish. With how much I’ve deteriorated in the past few months, I don’t really know what the future holds for me and my health, but I know that each day that passes, and each day that the good Lord allows me to wake up is a blessing that I will gladly take."

From us:
Our dear friend Elmer just recently fell down and broke his hip.  In his already fragile state, an injury like this is extremely dangerous.  He was taken to the hospital where he waited for the medical exam to see if there is a good chance for the surgery that would bring him back on his feet.  Luckily, despite the slight heart murmur,  the doctors cleared him for the procedure.    Yesterday the surgery completed & he was taken to Critical Care Unit due his heart rate.   He is recovering slowly, but the hope is still there.

The amount of pain that Elmer went through, and is still enduring is unimaginable, yet it didn't stop him from fighting and living.   Elmer would never ask anyone for anything,  because he doesn't want to be a burden.  However,  he has huge medical bills to pay.   Life is already hard enough and he won't be able to pay them without our help.  If you know Elmer,  or if you just simply want to help a friend in need, please do not hesitate and donate for his cause.  Every dollar counts.   Thank you so much for your kind heart and compassion!!!
