Get Benji the Brain Scans He Desperately Needs

Hi everyone. I really hate having to make this, but I don’t have many options right now.

Last night around 11:30, something really scary started happening to my dog, Benji. He got stuck in what I can only describe as a neurological episode and hasn’t been able to snap out of it. He can barely move, his head keeps twitching and bobbing side to side, and his pupils have been blown out and not reacting normally. He’s clearly disoriented and it’s honestly terrifying to watch.

This isn’t the first time this has happened either. It’s probably the 8th or 10th episode, and each time it’s getting worse and lasting longer. Normally he comes out of it after a while, but this time I went to sleep and woke up and he’s still having small twitches and not fully back to normal. His eyes have improved a little, but he’s still not himself and seems stuck in a weird state.

I rushed him to the ER, and even they told me this is beyond what they can handle. He needs a veterinary neurologist. The one they referred me to can’t see him until Friday, and I don’t know if he can wait that long.

I’m in Tucson, and right now I’m urgently trying to find an emergency or specialty hospital that can actually handle neurological cases today, not days from now. If anyone local knows of a place, has a connection, or can help me get him seen sooner, please reach out.

I’m also trying to get him back into an ER today but I don’t even have the money right now for another emergency visit, especially knowing they’re going to need to run tests. I feel completely stuck between needing to get him help immediately and not being able to afford to do it.

The Goal:
The ER doctor told me that imaging like CT scans and MRIs typically run around $2,000. That’s just an estimate, and it could be more depending on what he needs, but I need to be prepared to get him diagnosed as soon as possible.

Benji is the sweetest, most loving dog, and I just want to understand what’s happening so I can actually help him instead of watching this get worse.

How You Can Help:
If you can donate anything at all, even a few dollars, it would mean everything and go directly toward his care.
If you can’t donate, sharing this especially locally could help me find somewhere that can see him sooner.

I’ll keep updating with everything that’s going on and what the vets say.

Thank you for caring about my boy. I just want him to be okay.
