helping Beau-Lyn to get an Assistance dog
Donation protected
We have our date for our big chop! Friday 30th May 2025! In May 2021, me and Mummy cut an amazing 16inches off our hair and donated it to Little Princess Trust! We also raised an amazing £700 which was donated to Little Princess Trust too! Do you think we can do it again but raise a little more to help me reach my target for a Support Dog? My little sister, London is joining us with our big chop this time. London will be donating 13 inches, I will be donating 16 inches and Mummy will be donating 15 inches of hair! Please keep sharing my fundraiser and thankyou for all your support! Love Beau-Lyn and TheFowellFamily x

Beau-Lyn has a rare genetic condition called DDX3X Syndrome, which causes her to have several disabilities. This includes Moderate Intellectual Disability, Autism, ADHD, Sensory Difficulties, Severe receptive and expressive language disorder, Challenging Behaviour, Epilepsy and weak leg muscles.
Why do we want an Assistance Dog for Beau-Lyn you may ask? As she is getting older, her disabilities are more prominent along with her anxiety which is increasing. Although she is 13 years old, cognitively she is age 4-5 years with speech delay; therefore, has a Moderate Intellectual Disability.
Having a puppy trained for Beau-Lyn will help her in many different ways throughout her life. They will help keep Beau-Lyn happy; having a companion to help calm Beau-Lyn, distracting her from self-harming herself, interrupting repetitive behaviour, keeping her safe from dangers, supporting her with decreasing anxiety when in unfamiliar places and much more!
Obviously, this all comes with a HUGE cost! A young dog with temperament testing isn’t going to be cheap (around £1500-£2000) and training is going to be £4000+
However, this can only be made possible with your support! We are kindly asking for any donations; by donating £1 (or more if you can afford this, as we do understand lots of people are struggling with the cost of living).
Some of the local people in Barking & Dagenham may know or may have heard of Beau-Lyn Fowell.
If not, please see these articles below to read her story:
We LOVE helping others so the last couple of years we have been fundraising for different charities and organisations; raising over £3000 in total. There is not enough awareness and acceptance for people with additional needs, so any chance I get, I will share as much information as possible!
I have often spoken about Beau-Lyn having an Assistance Dog for a few years now, as I really think this would bring out the best in her! She absolutely adores our family dog Skye (to the point where she cries hysterically when our friend takes Skye out on a walk). Beau-Lyn can be very affectionate with Skye and loves a cuddle, however Skye is now 13 years old and doesn't know how to respond to Beau-Lyn when she is in crisis, so avoids this situation.
Update; sadly Skye passed away (27th March 2024), due to old age (she lived 13 happy years with us). Beau-Lyn is struggled to understand and process this, her school made her a social story, which she is still treasuring 1 year later, along with her memorial teddy!
Please head over and give a follow to keep updated with Beau-Lyn's Journey...
Give a share too, sharing awareness & acceptance is what we love most!!
Thankyou everyone for reading Beau-Lyn's fundraiser too, we really appreciate it!

Fundraiser's completed;
Beau-Lyn completed her Superhero Series Challenge on Sunday 14th July 2024 - walking over 45 miles in just 3 weeks!

On Saturday 8th June 2024, we completed 'This Girl's Ability 2.5K Colour Run'. This year Beau-Lyn challenged herself to complete double the 2.5K; and walk 5K! On the day, she smashed over 6K with the help of her little team!

Beau-Lyn's Dad, Dave and our friend, Tony cycled 32+ miles from Dagenham, Essex to Maldon, Essex (+15 miles back home) in Memory of Beau-Lyn's Grandad, on Sunday 21st April 2024.

Upton grew his hair for 16 months, to donate his hair to Little Princess Trust for it to be made into a wig.
On Monday 4th September 2023, Upton had his big chop and successfully donated 8 inches of his hair to Little Princess Trust. This was shown Live on Facebook.

Upton completed a 5K walk with Barking&Dagenham Young Carers, which was held on Saturday 23rd September 2023.

A massive Thankyou again!! Love
