Barbara has been a part of Ojai's teaching community for more than 15 years.  After teaching high school science in Santa Paula, she focused on homeschooling her own children. She's remained an integral part of Valley Oak Charter during this time. As  a teacher, Barbara taught many inspiring courses to the valley's homeschool community, such as Sustainable Gardening and Computer Science. She also remains an active parent at Valley Oak, helping families through the transition to home schooling their children.

Now, with the opportunity to join the Valley Oak Charter staff and the Ojai teachers community at-large, she needs your help. Barbara is currently attending Alliant International University  to reinstate her teaching credential. It is an expensive process, even with grant support.

Anyone familiar with Barbara knows she makes things happen. She is always there when we need her. This is our opportunity to help her reach her goal of helping both her family and our community.
