My goodness I do not want to do this. If there’s one thing the last three days have taught me it’s been about learning to receive.

On January 29th I was riding as a passenger on a 4-wheeler in Dominican Republic. A car pulled out quickly and we had to stop short and I was thrown from the 4 wheeler and after I hit the ground it landed on my foot. After laying in the street for about an hour waiting for the ambulance we finally headed to the hospital. I went straight into surgery to reset the bones in my ankle, reconnect the severed tendons, and check out the broken metatarsal. Everything went well and I am on the mend! So grateful for my community here because they have been INCREDIBLE. I have been surrounded by so much love and support I am so grateful.

The truth is my body is my job, I’m a dance instructor and retreat leader, and i have had to cancel all my gigs for the next six weeks, and of course the medical expense caught me off guard and cleared out pretty much all I have and more. Most people think I must be rich with all these followers but truthfully I am a traveling artist and expenses like these I’m just truthfully not ready for.

There are so many of you who will see this and if you gave even one dollar it would help me so much. I’m honestly embarrassed that I need to do this, but here we are. If we surpass all the expenses I’ll donate the rest to a good cause here in Dominican Republic. Thank you so much in advance for any bit of help you can give, and please know that your comments and hugs and love are just as valuable if not more valuable than money. I have felt so loved and supported in this time thank you so so much for everything. I love you all dearly and I cannot wait to be able to dance with you again.

Dios mío, no quiero hacer esto. Si hay algo que me han enseñado los últimos tres días, es sobre aprender a recibir.

El 29 de enero viajaba como pasajero en un vehículo de 4 ruedas en la República Dominicana. Un coche se detuvo rápidamente y tuvimos que detenernos y me arrojaron del vehículo de 4 ruedas y después de golpear el suelo aterrizó en mi pie. Después de estar tirados en la calle durante aproximadamente una hora esperando la ambulancia, finalmente nos dirigimos al hospital. Fui directamente a la cirugía para restablecer los huesos de mi tobillo, volver a conectar los tendones cortados y revisar el metatarsiano roto. ¡Todo salió bien y me estoy recuperando! Estoy muy agradecida por mi comunidad aquí porque han sido INCREÍBLES. He estado rodeado de tanto amor y apoyo que estoy muy agradecida.

La verdad es que mi cuerpo es mi trabajo, soy instructor de baile y líder de retiro, y he tenido que cancelar todos mis trabajos para las próximas seis semanas, y, por supuesto, el gasto médico me pilló desprevenido y limpió casi todo lo que tengo y más. La mayoría de la gente piensa que debo ser rico con todos estos seguidores, pero la verdad es que soy un artista viajero y, sinceramente, no estoy listo para gastos como estos.

Hay muchos de ustedes que verán esto y si dieran incluso un dólar me ayudaría mucho. Sinceramente, me da vergüenza tener que hacer esto, pero aquí estamos. Si superamos todos los gastos, donaré el resto a una buena causa aquí en la República Dominicana. Muchas gracias de antemano por cualquier ayuda que puedas dar, y por favor sepa que sus comentarios, abrazos y amor son tan valiosos, si no más valiosos, que el dinero.
