Dear Camp du Nord Family,
After 36 incredible years as the property manager at Camp du Nord in Ely, MN, Scott Olson is retiring. For decades, Scott has been the quiet hero behind the scenes—building cabins, maintaining trails, and ensuring every family’s experience was safe and memorable. Alongside his wife, Brenda, and their four sons, Scott has poured his heart into this camp, creating a legacy that will last for generations.
In recognition of this work, we’re giving friends and campers an opportunity to say thank you with a gift that will go toward drilling a well on their property, providing a reliable water source for their new full-time home off the Echo Trail. This is a meaningful way to share our gratitude with someone who has given so much to us. Every contribution, big or small, will help Scott and Brenda embark on their new journey after years of dedication and caring for the Camp du Nord community. In this area, drilling a well down into the bedrock can cost between $15,000 and $40,000.
If Camp du Nord has touched your life—whether as a camper, volunteer, or staff member—please consider joining us in this effort. Together, we can show Scott how much his quiet leadership and dedication has meant to all of us.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Scott’s remarkable journey and support his family's next chapter!
Warmly,
The Camp du Nord Family
