Two fantastic college students, Ashlyn and Ahklayla, were successful in their application to take part in the Turley's Mill Archaeological Project (TMAP) in Taos, New Mexico alongside several other students from their university, Cal State East Bay. Room and board are covered, but Ashlyn and Ahkayla are currently graduating seniors so the university can't cover the cost of their flight to New Mexico this summer. Participation in TMAP represents first-time archaeological training for both of them and will make them eligible for jobs in the field as soon as they return to California. I'm their professor, Albert Gonzalez , and I've put together this GoFundMe to cover the cost of their flight, which will be just shy of $600 per student.
