Get Anne to the 2022 Frozen Four

Hi friends! My name is Anne Tokarski, and I'm a women's hockey blogger with SB Nation's The Ice Garden and Howard Megdal's The IX Newsletter. I've dedicated my entire college career (I'm a junior now!) to covering women's hockey, and I'm fundraising for the opportunity to make the trip to the 2022 Frozen Four in State College, Pennsylvania.

My good friend Carlie (@quarkyhockey on Twitter) is letting me stay with her in Pittsburgh and driving us to the host site, Penn State University, on March 18 and March 20. The proceeds from this fundraiser will cover the cost of my flights, meal expenses, and other extraneous transportation costs and ensure that I can deliver the best possible coverage of the Division I women's college hockey national postseason to the best fans of the best sport.

A little bit about me and my platform: I've been writing for The Ice Garden since my first year of college, way back in September of 2019 when I attended (the) Ohio State University, home of the #1 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes women's hockey team. I've continued my coverage of women's hockey while balancing academics and extracurriculars and have since joined Howard Megdal's The IX Newsletter, where I'm the designated Hockey Friday contributor. I've authored over 125 articles, including features, interviews, previews, recaps, and roundtables between the two publications, and I couldn't be happier to have found my niche and found a family in the women's hockey community.

Any contributions to help me reach my goal are greatly appreciated. I look forward to providing the coverage that the amazing athletes at the Frozen Four deserve, and I hope to do right by them and by you.
