Hey I’m Grey and I’m 15 years old. I suffer from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and Functional neurologic disorder. These conditions cause extreme chronic pain, daily dislocations and subluxations, fainting, frequent seizures, parts of my body locking from hours to even days and so many more debilitating symptoms. I’m in a wheelchair most of time but on my better days I use a walker or a cane. Because of all this my life has completely changed for the worst. I’m falling behind in high school and it’s almost completely erased my independence. Having a service dog would change my life. It will be able to alert and respond to my seizures, perform heart rate alerts, get help when needed, pick up and retrieve items, perform mobility tasks and so much more. It will help me to be more independent and get do stuff people my own age get to do. Unfortunately getting and training a service dog is very expensive so I’m trying to fundraise towards getting it.
