Hello Everyone my name is Allie,
I moved over from Christchurch, New Zealand to pursue my dream of studying art in Sydney and becoming an artist. The National Art School was placed on my heart so strongly to study at for 2018. I have finished my first year of BAF at NAS and it was the best thing I have ever done. I really feel at home at NAS and have grown so much as an artist. I have had my eyes opened up to different ways of thinking and after working with mix media throughout the year I have discovered my love for Sculpture.
I really wish to continue my studies and start my second year. However there are fees outstanding of $12,420 from the 2018 year which is stopping me from enrolling in my second year for 2019. It is a three year degree, any contribution would be a big help. Being a New Zealander trying to live and pay rent in Sydney whilst studying full time without any support from the Australian government has been a challenge. I would love some support to help me stay and study at the National Art School and to fulfill my dream as an artist.
I have big dreams and ideas as an artist and through my art I hope to continue to reach out to people and influence them in their ways of thinking. I believe I will best grow as an artist by finishing my BAF at The National Art School and continue to be taught by the best.
I feel it’s my duty as an artist to inspire humanity and create art that speaks to the people around us by expressing my heart and creating art that's people relate to.
I want to do this by creating a space and build an environment that satisfies all of the human senses. It's my passion to bring unity within the community, touch and encourage people's lives through art and I believe I have a lot to contruibute as an artist. I look forward to continuing my journey as an artist and devoting my life to the arts.
