Alex has Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy , which is a degenerative disease that slowly breaks down and prohibits the rebuilding of muscle tissue in the body . His muscles are unable to rebuild and slowly deteoriate , including the heart and lungs .

The average person with DMD loses the ability to walk around the age of 10 and are wheelchair bound by age 12 into early adolescence .

The average life expectancy for someone with DMD is 21...

Alex will be celebrating his 32 birthday this May 25th!!!

All of his life , Alex has met and beat the odds stacked against him .

Alex was able to walk until he was 16 years old and even got his driving permit!

Alex has a profound love for all animals and being outside . He also is a huge video gamer! . Haha

Everyday for Alex is a struggle that most of us will fortunately never know. . . The simple task of taking a drink of water or fixing your glasses on your face takes more muscle ability then he has ...

This past December the van that is ultimately Alex's " legs " , the ability to leave the house and go places and doctor appointments , has ran it's course and is no longer safe for Alex to use.

Without a source of transportation , Alex's already limited freedom is cut even shorter . .


We will be having a Fundraiser for Alex on March 21st , 2020 at The Crooked Spoon in Clermont . I will be creating another post as well as making flyers to spread the word and help us reach our goal!!!

It is my Goal to help my brother get his "legs Back! " . I am reaching out to all resources to ask for any and all help in reaching out goal of raising $10,000 to help purchase a new handicap Van so Alex can keep living his life to his fullest potential !!!!
