My name is Aimée Burnell and I am 14 years old. I am a member of 1st Whitwell Scouts and East Scarsdale District Explorers.
I am extremely excited to have been selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree, in South Korea. It is taking place in August 2023, and I will be a representative for my county, Derbyshire.
I am extremely excited to have been selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree, in South Korea. It is taking place in August 2023, and I will be a representative for my county, Derbyshire.
The World Scout Jamboree takes place every 4 years, and this year 40,000 Scouts will be attending from all over the world. It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I hope that this journey will give me life changing skills and experience that I will be able to pass in others.
In order to attend, I need to raise £3,500 over the next 18 months. This money will cover the cost of me preparing for and attending the Jamboree, as well as enabling people from less fortunate places to attend.
I am working hard to fundraise with my best friend, Freya Hodkin. She will also be attending The WSJ 2023. Family, friends, other Scouts/Explorers, and our local community will also be helping me to fundraise. I am massively grateful for this opportunity. Any donation, big or small, will be massively appreciated by me.
