We're Gavin and Emily, and over the past year and a half we have worked tirelessly to convert a retired school bus into our tiny home on wheels. We have been documenting the entire journey on YouTube and Instagram with the hope that our videos can inspire and help others with similar dreams. After months of pushing back our move-in date to ensure everything was road ready, we finally hit the road in July of 2022. Within two weeks of leaving home, our engine started making a noise. We stopped at the closest diesel mechanic and got a very disheartening diagnosis. Our engine will need to be taken apart and have multiple parts replaced.

Building your own home always comes with risks, especially when your home is in a school bus. We always knew there was the potential for mechanical issues down the line. Still, after getting several clean bills of health from multiple inspections, we thought we had done our due diligence in preventing something of this magnitude. Unfortunately, we were wrong.

Your donations will be put directly towards getting our engine repaired. The repairs will ensure that our engine will last for many more years and that we can live and travel safely in our bus. We have been quoted $14,000 for the repairs and have to move out of our home for the next month.

Asking for help like this is never easy, but this bus is our home, and we would do whatever it takes to get her back on the road. We hope that if at any point our videos have made you laugh, inspired you to chase a dream, or helped you with your bus conversion that you consider donating.
