My name is Gary, I am in my early 40's and I have had a condition called Sacral Agenesis which I have had from birth.

When I was younger I was very mobile, I used crutches to get around and very rarely used a wheelchair. As I got older, I started to rely on using a wheelchair to get around and as you can imagine, living in a world that isn't flat, it can be somewhat difficult at times to get about. There are many times when I am working or when I am out where I have to rely on friends or family to push me as it is too much of an incline or the ground isn't level.

In my early years, I said to myself that I needed to keep mobile as long as possible, so that I wouldn't lose the mobility that I have. But now it has got to the point where I feel that I need a bit of assistance, and that is where the Triride Power add on comes in.

I decided that I didn't want to go fully electric and get a powered chair, I wanted to still be able to use a manual chair to get around and to keep what mobility I have.

Not only will the add on assist me when I am working, it will also mean that I can have more independence in leisure activities as I won't have to rely on others to be there to push me around.

Unfortunately, mobility equipment doesn't come cheap, the Triride model that I would like, which has a high capacity battery to ensure that I don't run out of power when I need it, has been quoted at £5221.

With your help, I can be a bit more independent and be able to continue with doing the job that I love as well as be able to go out and enjoy leisure activities.
