Get a Quickie for Tim

Donation protected
Tim is a paraplegic through developing viral Meningitis Encephalitis in 2003. We reside in Hobart Tasmania Australia and are very fortunate to have two beautiful baby girls.
As many of you would have experienced, being in a wheelchair is something that comes with many challenges. Access is a constant issue but Tim is always keen to have a go and most importantly, get out there to experience the outdoors with his kids.
Recently we came across an electric wheelchair attachment called a tractor handbike. Or another brand is called a ‘Quickie’. For those of you who know Tim, you will know that a ‘Quickie’ is probably quite fitting for him.
This aide attaches to the front of his wheelchair and has handle bars which allows him to ride his chair like an electric bike. He will be able to experience outings with a lot more ease as we can transport it unlike any other electric wheelchair. He will be able to do walks (wheels) with the family and not struggle so much.
As Tim’s condition is medical, he does not receive any Government support for new or additional mobility equipment. This is an expense outside of our budget and hope that we can find lots of people to make a small contribution to get Tim out and about with more ease.
Support from friends, family and the generous unknowns would be greatly appreciated.  It could be $10, or more, any donation will be remembered!

Thank you for reading our story.
