As many of you may know on Tuesday March 31st this year Thomas and I got hit by some jerk on I4. I was 22 weeks pregnant and *thankfully* got the all clear from the hospital. The same week I got into a fender bender hit and run going home from work on Friday. Once again baby and I received the all clear from the hospital.

We have been in a rental car for a month. And it has been costing an arm and a leg as is. And we have officially been told that our car is totaled. Originally, we were told it would be fixed. Then they told us it's totaled. And now we're out a car.

Our isurance has also informed us that even though they place blame completely on the other driver, they won't reach out to their car insurance for reimbursement unless they pay first and are fighting for their money back. None of which would be coming to us anyways, it will go to the finance company since we still owe on the car. The only way we can get the other insurance to handle things is to call them. So I did. And was told that he hasn't even supplied a statement to them, as he has a lawyer and they're waiting for them. I gave already given a statement and also have a lawyer. So how is it fair that their own insured has done so?

The accident has agitated Thomas's herniated disks that are a result from a similar accident 3 years ago.

Needless to say. We need a new car. That will be safe for both Zoe and her brother when he gets here later this year. It could be months or even years before we get something from insurance or the lawyers.

So here I am asking for help. I don't know what else to do or where else to turn. I hate being in this position, but I am desperate because this is causing us to fall behind on other things now as well.
