Get a new 4K Camera for the Volcano Eruption

Since March 19th, many of us have been enjoying the spectacular eruption at Geldingadalir live from the RUV.is and MBL.is cameras. MBL has taken big risks by providing viewers with the most impressive view of an erupting volcano that the world has ever seen. It has subsequently lost 2 of its cameras now to lava.

Afar.TV currently streams this eruption on YouTube here  and here  .

We know that these cameras and the supporting hardware cost a lot to replace and I'm asking the world community to pitch in to help buy a new, even better, 4K capable PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera to replace the damaged one.

We have run a successful Gofundme campaign earlier this year to buy a 4K camera to stream live from the Hawaii Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary in Maui, Hawaii. This go-fund-me campaign is looking to purchase the same Axis 4K camera and ship it to Iceland.

The camera itself costs about $3000 USD. If there are any additional funds raised, it will go towards the additional hardware required to set up this camera.

The camera will first be offered to MBL.is. If for whatever reason, they do not accept it, it will be offered to RUV.is to upgrade camera 1 or camera 2.  

Please note that Afar.TV is not looking to make any money from this campaign.  100% of the funds raised will be going to MBL, RUV, or the setup of the camera with a third party.
