Gerson Salgado Memorial Fund

We are heartbroken to share the news of Gerson’s sudden passing on March 22nd. As a beloved son, brother, partner, new father and friend, he will be deeply missed.

Gerson was incredibly passionate, charismatic and fearless. He approached life head on with boundless curiosity and had a quiet strength that inspired those around him. His sharp wit coupled with his warmth made him a perfect fit for the hospitality industry he loved. He was quick to make friends wherever he went and made a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He treated friendship as a sacred bond, celebrating triumphs with genuine enthusiasm and standing by his friends in times of struggle with unwavering resolve. Whether planning spontaneous adventures, staying up late sharing stories or simply listening with his full heart, you could always count on him to show up to lift your spirits. Though his time with us was far too short, the legacy of his compassion and steadfast love will live on.

The goal of this fundraiser is to ease the burden his family faces as they mourn an unimaginable loss and try to navigate this new reality without him. Gerson and Jacquelyn had proudly welcomed a beautiful son, Luka, into the world just 6 months ago. As a devoted partner and joyful new father, he cherished family above all else. The fundraiser will also go towards baby Luka's immediate and future needs so his family can focus on healing.
