Here is a little about Gerson!

Gerson has been a pastor for 20 years, and even through the hard time he is going through he continues to serve God and the church as best as he can.

He is a wonderful husband to his wife Lilian. They have been happily married for 35 years. Gerson is a father to Steve, Rachel and Jackie. He is a wonderful Grandfather to Jeremy, Elsi and Emy.

About two years ago on New Years Day, Gerson was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. It has been a tough battle since then. Regardless of his Chemo and Radiation treatments, Gerson and his family have not lost hope and keep their faith in God.

Recently, Gerson and his family received some devastating news. The treatments did not meet it's expectations and the cancer has now spread to his bones. Through prayers and advise from his Doctor, Gerson has decided to stop all treatment to try and regain some strength.

Due to secondary effects of Chemo and Radiation therapy, Gerson has found himself in and out of the Hospital. He is currently experiencing intense pain on his lower back that requires him to constantly receive medication for the pain. Gerson and his family are thankful for the Doctors, Nurses and all medical staff who have treated him and continue to do so.
