Ger’s Journey

Ger is known to many people around Bagenalstown and local communities. Many know him as a dedicated family man, coach and mentor.

Ger has spent much of his life coaching and mentoring camogie and hurling teams both within Muinebheag juvenile clubs and Carlow camogie.

Back in early July, Ger unfortunately became hospitalised with a serious condition called Sepsis. He has spent weeks critically ill in Waterford General hospital.

Ger is undergoing dialysis and further intensive treatment to try strengthen his organs and general physical health.

Due to the nature of Ger’s condition, Ger and his family have a very long road to recovery ahead of them.

He requires much needed support from both his medical team and family in his rehabilitation process.

Unfortunately, this support comes with financial burdens for his family.

Many of you know Ger as a selfless, devoted and committed friend, coach and mentor. He truly deserves our support during his time of need.
