Many of you know that Dr. Gerry was diagnosed with 3 deadly cancers over eight years ago.  Despite his health challenges, he continued his practice and faithfully served all under his care.  His skills as a diagnostician, holistic healer, spiritual advisor, and nutritional specialist were unmatched.   In the end, Gerry succumbed to the crippling effects of the cancer treatment after refusing any more medical intervention last September.  He died at home, July 25th, 2019. He was blissful and finally at peace.

His most cherished wish was to raise money to support Advaita Ashrama, Mayaviti and to return to India on a regular basis.  This unique monastary was painstakingly built in 1899 by an English couple, Captain James Henry Sevier and Charlotte Servier who were two of the first Western  disciples of Swami Vivekananda. The Ashrama overlooks the Himalayas and besides housing visiting devotees and monks, has a hospital serving the many local tribal villages in the area.
We attended the first retreat held there in 120 years this past November.
