We wanted to provide an update on Gerry. As you know this past year has been a struggle as Gerry has battled cancer. It's been almost a year since we held a very successful benefit. We cannot thank everyone enough for each and every donation he received in various ways. Including other donations/benefits that were held by others. Those donations helped him financially survive this past year.

Gerry has been out of work since January of 2023. He has tried to go back to the Firehouse here and there, but cancer has kept him out of work for the most part for over a year now.

Gerry goes in for surgery today February 14th. Very ironic! As soon as we heard the date immediately "Tell that person you love them" came to mind. Once the surgery takes place he will have some recovery time before he is truely cleared to go back to work.

As everyone knows, Gerry is always there for everyone. He hates to ask for help. He also tends to tell people only the good and tries to mask the bad. He is a protector but sometimes even the protector needs protection.

Gerry is unfortunately now living alone at his house but has the support of his family and friends.

Gerrys brother Jim Pineau is at with Gerry in Boston for the surgery and staying with him for the duration of the hospital stay.

Once the surgery is complete we will also be asking for meal train, as well as possible house visits to help him through recovery and to keep him company. Gerry we are putting you first!

We know as soon as he reads this he will be real upset for making this, but we are hoping for more support to get him through to the finish line so he can enjoy his two limes again.

100% of these donations will go directly to Gerry to support him through this life altering surgery. We are hopeful the cancer has stopped spreading and he will be able to resume a new normal life and get back to being "Jus Gerry the cab driva".
