Hi!
My name is Gerry, and I am 70 years old and have had my share of hardships and medical issues. I never thought that I would be asking for any type of financial aid from anyone. And now, here I am asking it not for myself, but for my best friend, my dog, Coco. Coco is a nine-year-old Australian cattle dog. She was a rescue who had been terribly abused by her owners. It took a long time for her to trust me because of her past, but as it turns out, I saved her, and she saved me. I have loved her for nine years, and she has returned love and comfort to me ten times over. She has developed a lump on her leg that has turned out to be cancerous. The tumor needs immediate attention to be removed before it goes into her tissues and bone. She started limping and showing distress. I took her back to the vet, thinking it was the tumor that was causing the pain. It turned out that she also has a torn ACL on that same leg that has to be repaired. The vet quoted surgical costs to amount from $6000-$8000. I barely make it from month-to-month on my low Social Security check and don’t know how I could afford to do this for my dog. She is my family, like my child. I can’t imagine not trying to get help to save her from dying.
I reach out to you and ask for your help. I know if you have pets, you feel my sorrow and desperation. I can’t imagine my life without Coco in it. I thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
God bless you for your consideration!
