We Are Building a Greenhouse!

After years of dreaming, Germantown Kitchen Garden is building its very own greenhouse in time for the 2018 season, and we need your help. By ordering your seedlings or a farm stand share right now - or just donating- you'll make it possible for us to fund all the materials and labor needed to build and equip this greenhouse, grow all the seedlings we've planned for, and support the work needed to keep that running until we open in Spring.  Your contribution makes it possible for us to provide our neighbors (and our own farm) with healthy plants and fresh food all season.

It is our passion to grow the freshest, most beautiful vegetables Philly has to offer. Additionally, we aim to encourage others to grow their own veggie gardens, complete with flowers and perennial shrubs to provide necessary habitat for all of our insect and animal friends. A greenhouse will provide us with the space necessary to seed thousands of vegetables, herbs, and flowers for our farm and yours- whether you have one raised bed or an entire backyard. If you don't have a garden but love to eat fresh and support your local farmer, you can meet both of these goals by ordering yourself a farm stand share for the upcoming season. By spending your money now you can later enjoy the luxury of moseying over to the farm stand Saturday mornings without reaching for your wallet.

I am forever grateful for all you have given over the years that has allowed me to pursue my dream of farming this little piece of land in the city. Neither this project nor this farm would be possible without your continued support, and I cannot thank you enough for helping us reach this goal. You are without a doubt helping to nourish and beautify this city.

*All rewards (except for thank you cards) are for local pickup only. Thank you for understanding

Thank you so much
