URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED FOR OUR FRIEND GERI TRAGER.
Geri Trager is a 71 year old single woman who has been visiting with us here in Puerto Vallarta MX. She fell in the downstairs apartment in our house early yesterday morning around 1am. We were asleep on the 3rd floor and did not hear her yelling for help until Shari went down about 8am.
Long story short we called an ambulance. She was taken to San Javier Hospital. X-rays show she broke her right femur at the BALL JOINT where it connects to the hip in 4 places.
Her insurance company Senior Demensions (AKA United Health Care) has pre-authorized the surgery but will not pay directly to the hospital since it is not in the USA.
Geri cannot travel due to severity of the break (needs screws bars & other hardware). Her insurance says she needs to pay out of pocket for the surgery then submit bills when she returns to Las Vegas. Geri does not have credit cards nor the money $15-$18,000.00 U.S. DOLLARS
They planed to operate this Friday November 24th, however she has developed a RAGING urinary tract infection which will extend her hospital stay. Afterwards she will need to remain in PV about 1 week before she can fly back to Las Vegas.
Go Fund Me shows a record of all contributions. I will attempt to return any contributions to those who have helped once her insurance reimburses her.
