Geriene’s Recovery Fund

As some of you know already, Geriene is a happy healthy young 42 year old mom. She is a hard worker and very self reliant. After a simple routine mammogram she learned of an abnormality in one of her breasts. This quickly cascaded into a barrage of tests and worse news. The cancer diagnosis took everyone by surprise. Within a few mere weeks she was facing surgery on May 6  which will most likely be followed by chemotherapy and radiation.  Her whole world is upside down.

With COVID measures in place we are very thankful to know the surgery can move forward. Covid measures sadly mean no extra visitors, or popping by with dinner, or house cleaning help.  Her partner James and kids, Mikayla & Gabrielle will be with her to help during recovery and treatments. 

It is unclear how long Geriene will need to be off work, but an estimated 6-8 months. She has a mortgage and car payment as well as regular household costs. The loss of income means these ongoing  costs will be challenging to meet.  Please contribute if you can to help ease some financial concerns.
