Geri Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund

As some of you may be aware, ALCOSAN recently lost our dear friend Geri Walker.

Geraldine Walker was with ALCOSAN, as both a consultant and employee, for over 20 years. She brought a warmth to the workplace that made bad days better, and good days great. She was a positive influence on everyone she knew.

I for one thought I may have another chance to talk to her…maybe some of you that knew her felt the same way.

However, most of us never fully knew of her personal struggles which led to her passing. This was a burden that was carried by those truly close to her, Geri’s children. For all of us that knew Geri, her children and grandchildren were everything to her. This is why I am setting up the Go Fund Me account.

I spoke to Geri’s oldest daughter Jacqueline a couple times after her passing. I expressed interest in doing something in Geri’s memory. Jacqueline discussed options with her siblings and it seems the best idea was a fund for her grandchildren for when they get older. To me, a scholarship fund would have a positive and lasting impact for years to come.

I’m hoping for generous contributions to this fund which will set aside funds for the grandchildren.
