Gerardo Avila, was a beloved member of the Staten Island community and an active member of his church, Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal El Amparo Divino. He immigrated to New York City from the Dominican Republic in the 1970s in search of a better life for his family, and lived with faith, kindness, and dedication to those he loved.

Gerardo tragically passed away following a vehicle accident, leaving behind his wife, who is also recovering from injuries, and his four children. As we grieve this devastating loss, our family is facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses.

Gerardo Avila, fue un querido miembro de la comunidad de Staten Island y un miembro activo de su iglesia, Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal El Amparo Divino. Emigró a la ciudad de Nueva York desde la República Dominicana en la década de 1970 con el sueño de brindar una vida mejor a su familia, viviendo siempre con fe, bondad y amor.

Gerardo falleció trágicamente a causa de un accidente automovilístico, dejando a su esposa, quien también se encuentra en recuperación por las heridas sufridas en el accidente, y a sus cuatro hijos. Mientras atravesamos este doloroso momento, nuestra familia enfrenta gastos funerarios y conmemorativos inesperados.
